An international businessman from the start
Even though Lars Windhorst grew up in a quiet village in the north of Germany, since he could read, his sights were set far beyond Europe. When Lars Windhorst was just eight years old, he started to follow the stock market and by the time that he was ten, he had made his first investments.

Only a year later, after the small start-up business showed great promise, Lars Windhorst established Windhorst Electronics with a Chinese businessman in his mid twenties.
Pronounced national and international success
After a year in business together, Windhorst Electronics had sold over $50 million dollars in sales across Europe and captured the attention of many high profile businessmen in Europe and Asia. Most notably, was the Ex-Chancellor of Germany, Holmut Kohl. With great excitement, Kohl announced Lars Windhorst's success to the German media and proclaimed Lars Windhorst to be the "Wunderkind of the German economy." Shortly after, the national media took a liking to Lars Windhorst and started calling him the "German Bill Gates," furthering his reputation in Europe and around the world.
Lars Windhorst's success was also furthered when Kohl invited Windhorst to accompany him on official business trips in Asia in order to strengthen connections between Germany and the Far East. Lars Windhorst was also invited to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos and was the youngest attendant at the distinguished conference that year.
As Lars Windhorst's name began to grow, so did his entrepreneurial endeavors. In the late nineties, Lars Windhorst relocated to Hong Kong and expanded Windhorst Electronics to include Windhorst Pacific Holdings Ltd., Windhorst Capital Holding GmbH and Windhorst AG, opening 20 branches throughout Asia and Europe and employing over 200 employees.

In 2001, Lars Windhorst's enterprises were severely effect by the burst of the internet bubble and Lars Windhorst decided to embark on a new entrepreneurial endeavor. Partnering with a South African industrialist family, Lars Windhorst opened in Sapinda investment. In the first five years, Sapinda traded over 2 billion EUR and was hailed as another successful business.
Through the prosperous years as well as the difficult years, Lars Windhorst continues to enjoy a reputation of being a guy who keeps on going. In a recent magazine article, Handelsblatt, it was noted that he is very comfortable in the jet set scene and manages very well among the world’s extremely wealthy businessmen. Although only 33 years old, he has become accustomed to a high life style through his business and social connections and is trusted by many to pull off very difficult financial deals.
